Nearly 17% of our population is living in poverty. Heath care initiatives as well as quality local food options will be implemented while creating jobs and economic equality. 

The discovery of 1,4-dioxane in the village's water supply is a major public health issue. Basic sewage and waste water treatment facilities production centers being built and drinking water plants being established will be addressed. 

Affordable housing is a big issue in Hempstead. Housing costs are a stress to most residents. So a program to build new affordable housing developments is needed. 

Racial equality, criminal justice reform and investment in minority-owned businesses

focusing on policies that enhance educational support and job training.

Sustainable development and green initiatives to 

reduce pollution, improve public transportation and enhance green spaces. 

Banking

I will work with and support local and regional banks as well as credit unions by forming partnerships with the village. By promoting financial literacy programs and small business loans that will help stimulate local entrepreneurship and economic growth in the Village of Hempstead. 

Schools

I will collaborate with local education boards and state government to improve school funding, upgrade facilities, and introduce programs that focus on technology, vocational training, and community engagement to ensure students are prepared for the future which directly impacts Hempstead.

Supermarkets 

I will focus on attracting grocery retailers, particularly in underserved areas, by streamlining zoning processes, offering incentives to businesses and creating partnerships with local farmers or co-ops to promote fresh, healthy, affordable produce.

Hospitals 

I will work to expand local healthcare services by partnering with regional healthcare providers to improve access to medical care, expand preventive care services, and advocate for better funding for local clinics and hospital upgrades.
