Meet Kevin D. Boone

Kevin D. Boone is a lifelong resident of Hempstead.

Kevin was elected in March of 2021 as a Trustee for the Incorporated Village of Hempstead.

Kevin demonstrated his ability to lead, serve, work effectively with others, and bravely meet challenges as a 28-year veteran Volunteer firefighter for the Incorporated Village of Hempstead.

Kevin started his employment with the Incorporated Village of Hempstead, on June 10, 1989, working in the Sanitation Department, then as a Neighborhood Aide for the Hempstead Police Department, as a Groundskeeper for Public Works, and retired as a Meter Installer/Repairer and Groundskeeper for the Water Plant Department.

Kevin cultivated his Civic servant engagement interests by becoming the President of the New Hempstead Democratic Club (NHDC). where he assisted residents in Hempstead relating to issues to elevate their voices along with Hempstead Business owners

As an elected official Kevin continues to collaborate with Government officials across the Village of Hempstead, the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, and other Local and State offices for the betterment of Hempstead.

Kevin understands the challenges of today’s socio-economic issues. His experiences as a lifelong Village of Hempstead resident have readied and inspired him to effectively serve the residents of the Village of Hempstead.
